My Prayer for You Today

Father, thank you for the person reading these words. He or she wound up on this page for a reason. You are ready to begin growing an unshakable faith in this person. Thank you for allowing me to participate in your mission Lord Jesus! You highlighted an old truth for me today. I pray it blesses your child, the one reading; as your words enter the soul, may the light of your truth illuminate the path before him or her. You know all, see all, and you Father, are working all things together for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose.

When you said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mt. 11:28-30 I believe you were reminding us of your trust in the Father. When you presented us with your Holy Spirit to live within and guide us along the path of life, you gifted us the power to let go.

Lord Jesus, in Mark 1:35 it says very early in the morning, while it was still dark, you got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place where you prayed. Teach us to pray like you Lord. Teach us to start each day with a gratitude for the power, perspective, and peace of our Father as we lay it all down before him. Let us lift our eyes to the one who sees our hearts and loves us completely. Let us live loved for when we receive the undeserved favor of God, his grace lives in us and we are able to give it freely to others. Teach us to love deeply. Teach us to be like you.

So many people are one decision away from a better life. I want to help people. I'm here, I'm listening and I hope I can make a difference. I am eternally grateful for the people in my life who have always been willing to listen, pray for me and give advice. I hope to pay it forward.
